The feeding port sits atop the glass vessel, preventing leaks and allowing for easy cleaning and refills. The red flower is fired with translucent finishes for long lasting durability. Leaves of brass provide the finishing decorative touch on the copper hoop.

Hummingbird Feeding Tips :
- Place your hummingbird feeder in a shady location. This keeps the liquid cool, prevents heat expansion, and allows the liquid to last longer.

- Clean your feeder with soap and water or vinegar and rinse thoroughly with water.

- To create the hummingbird "nectar" at home, mix 4 parts water to 1 part sugar. Mix well until dissolved and it's ready to use! To slow the fermentation process, you can boil the mixture for several minutes on a stovetop (do not microwave as this affects the molecular properties of the sugar). Do not use artificial sweeteners, honey or food coloring in your mix, as these have no nutritional value and/or can be harmful to wildlife.

- You can store excess hummingbird food in the refrigerator for up to two weeks

- Thoroughly dry the bottle mouth and rubber grommet before inserting the grommet, as this will prevent leaks.
