About the Kershaw Chive-style Knife
Closed, the Chive is 2-7/8" long—perfect for carrying in a pocket. The 1-15/16" straight-edge blade is fashioned from 420 high carbon stainless steel (420HC SST) for good edge retention, easy resharpening, and excellent toughness. The reverse side includes a stainless steel clip that easily attaches to outer pockets or can be used as a money clip. The pocket clip may also be removed with the use of a T-6 hex allen wrench. Made in the USA.

About the Kershaw SpeedSafe Assisted Opening System
The Chive series features Kershaw's SpeedSafe opening system for smooth, easy opening by both right and left-handed users. It is specifically designed for sporting and work situations where one-handed opening is preferable and safer, but allows all ease of use in all everyday tasks. Simply pull back on the finger stud for a clean, smooth easy blade extension. A sliding safety lock ensures the blade stays securely inside the handle until the user manually releases it.
