About the Vintage Blue Porcelain and Keshi Pearl Necklace 

For centuries, lovely blue and white bone china sets and porcelain keepsake plates created in the Netherlands, China and England were prized for their intricate patterns and traditional artwork. Today, jewelry designer Jessica Lee has found a way to reclaim fragments of broken and discarded plates and recapture the beauty of the original pottery.

Three shaped segments of the vintage blue pottery are accented with long cultured keshi pearls and set upon a sterling silver chain. Each segment of pottery and pearl are set into hand-worked sterling silver bezels, individually shaped to accommodate the organic shapes while providing contemporary style. Chain has an adjustable length between 17.5" and 18.5". China pattern will vary slightly from necklace to necklace, but will retain the blue and white arrangement. Handcrafted in Oregon. - What are Keshi Pearls?
Keshi pearls are pearls of unusual shape that are formed without a nucleus. They are made of 100 percent mother of pearl (nacre), the same substance that forms around traditional pearls.
