About the Fly + Sing Earrings

Either way, you'll be prepared with this dashing set of handmade earrings! Text and bird illustrations from a vintage children's book are reproduced and arranged under hand-cut glass. The images are framed with hand-soldered lead-free silver (the same technique used in stained glass art and authentic Tiffany lamps) and oxidized to provide a rich, dark color. The final touch is provided with "free-form" french wires in oxidized sterling silver.

Crafted in Minnesota, the front of the earrings feature the words "fly" and "sing" while the reverse features a classic illustration of a soaring bird. The images may also be reversed. To reverse the images, slide the framed tile off of the earwire and thread back in the opposite direction (may require assistance from an appropriate small tool).
